Last time, we completed the experiment on the dry ice blasting angle. Today, we will continue the experiment to test the effect of dry ice blasting distance on the dry ice cleaning effect. What is the optimal dry ice cleaning distance?The machine used in this experiment is our company's energy-saving dry ice cleaning machine YJ-04. The target cleaning object is a PCB board after spraying.Other test standard data are as follows:

The dry ice blasting distance is within the range of 100mm~500mm, and the dry ice blasting distance is at intervals of 100mm. The tested dry ice blasting distances are 100mm, 200mm, 300mm, 400mm, and 500mm respectively. Five groups of tests were conducted at each distance, and each group only blasted dry ice once, without secondary dry ice blasting. The test results are shown in the figure below.
As you can see from the pictures, when using dry ice for cleaning, the closer the distance, the better the effect. When the dry ice blasting distance is 500 mm or 400 mm, almost nothing can be washed off. When the distance is about 300 mm or 200 mm, it can be cleaned, but the effect is so-so, and there is still a lot of paint left after one wash. When the distance reaches 100 mm, a relatively clean cleaning belt can be washed out, and the effect is the best. However, the closer the better, the effect becomes worse when the dry ice blasting distance is 50 mm. Therefore, you should keep trying different distances to find the most suitable one, so that you can clean quickly and save dry ice.
Conclusion of this experiment: When the energy-saving dry ice cleaning machine (YJ-04) is used for cleaning, the best cleaning effect is achieved when the distance between the dry ice blasting gun and the target object is 100 mm. Note that different models of dry ice cleaning machines may have different dry ice blasting distances because of the different sizes of ice particles.
